Annual Public Report of the Rector of Turan University, Doctor of Economics, Professor R.A. Alshanov

On June 9, 2026, the Annual Public Report of the Rector of Turan University, Doctor of Economics, Professor Rakhman A. Alshanov, entitled “Turan University Activities in the 2025–2026 Academic Year and Plans for the 2026–2027 Academic Year”, was held.

 

Turan University continues to strengthen its position in Kazakhstan’s higher education sector by ensuring high-quality education, advancing scientific research, and preparing competitive professionals for various fields of the economy and society.

 

During the report, the University presented the results of its activities, implemented projects, achievements in educational, scientific, international, and public activities, as well as promising initiatives aimed at the further development of education and research.

 

Representatives of government agencies, public organizations, media outlets, students, alumni, university staff, and other stakeholders participated in the report both offline and online.

 

Members of the Board of Trustees of Turan University attended the event as honored guests and participants:

 

  • Serik Akhmetzhanovich Akhanov — Doctor of Economics, Professor, Honorary Chairman of the Council of the Association of Financiers of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
  • Maksat Sakenovich Kikimov — Co-founder of Footlab Academy;
  • GIEZE ROLAND — Doctor of Economics, Professor at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences (Germany), Honorary Professor of Turan University;
  • Boris Alikenovich Dzhaparov — Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, General Director of the Kazakhstan Research and Education Networking Association (KazRENA).

 

The event was also attended by Urak Zholmurzayevich Aliyev, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Vice President of the Turan Educational Corporation.

 

Participants of the Public Report supported the key results of the University’s activities for the 2025–2026 academic year and endorsed the priority areas for the University’s development in the 2026–2027 academic year.

 

The Public Report was addressed to a wide range of stakeholders, including representatives of legislative and executive authorities, students and their parents, the academic community, media representatives, public organizations, and other interested parties.

 

The report was broadcast live on the official YouTube channel of Turan University.
