International Financial Security Olympiad

From September 27 to October 4, 2025, the finals of the 5th International Financial Security Olympiad were held in Krasnoyarsk, Russia, at the Siberian Federal University.

Schoolchildren and students from 40 countries participated in the Olympiad, including the CIS countries, Algeria, Argentina, Brazil, Vietnam, Egypt, India, Morocco, Mexico, the UAE, Ecuador, South Africa, and others.

The Kazakhstan team included 10 students who won the National Stage of the Olympiad, including Vadim Totmyanin, a fourth-year student at the Higher School of Finance and Accounting (Finance Program).

During the Olympiad, students participated in sessions and roundtables with leading experts in the field of combating money laundering and terrorist financing, wrote tests and financial dictations, and solved complex cases on financial security. Participants demonstrated strong results in sports events.

At the “Color Olympics” festival, our Kazakhstani company, along with participants from other countries, vividly showcased Kazakh traditions, which attracted great interest from everyone present.

Cultural activities, including excursions and concerts, were also organized for the students.

As Rosfinmonitoring Director Yuri Chikhanchin noted, youth interest in the International Olympiad is growing year after year: «More than 1,100 people took part in the final week events, including about 600 schoolchildren and students and 500 experts. In just five days, over 100 events were held across all four tracks: educational, professional, cultural and moral, and athletic. A cross-cutting theme of this year’s Olympics was new technologies, both in terms of their use by criminals and those who oppose them».

The meeting of students from around the world became a grand platform for the most creative and talented youth, building a platform for economic security across the planet.
