ANOTHER LOUD VICTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT OF “FINANCE” !

From June 17 to 24, 2021, the first stage of the International Olympiad on Financial Security was held on the basis of JSC “Financial Academy”. The Olympiad is organized by the International Network Institute for Combating Money Laundering/Terrorist Financing (AML/CFT) together with the Financial Monitoring Committees of Kazakhstan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

The main goal of the Olympiad is to increase the information, financial, legal literacy and cultural level of young people.

More than 200 students from 12 universities of Kazakhstan took part in the Olympiad: Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Turan University, NAO “M. Kozybayev SKU”, L. N. Gumilev ENU, Almaty Management University, Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz, S. Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical University, Gumarbek Daukeev Almaty University of Energy and Communications, KIMEP, Nazarbayev University JSC, Astana International University, Suleiman Demirel University.

The Department of Finance of the University “Turan” was represented by 3rd-year students Bayzhienova Aruzhan and Melnikova Anastasia.

According to the results of two rounds (testing and essay), the winners were students of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Turan University, NAO “M. Kozybayev SKU”, JSC “Nazarbayev University”.

The winner from our university was a 3rd-year student of the OP “Finance” Anastasia Melnikova (scientific supervisor N. A. Musakhanova).

The winners will represent the Republic of Kazakhstan at the final stage of the Olympiad, which will be held from October 3 to 9, 2021 in Sochi, Russia.
