On December 23, the beauty and talent contest “Mr. and Miss Turan 2022” ended at Turan University

A large-scale celebration took place on the eve of the New Year in the assembly hall of the university, where Mister and Miss Turan 2022 were chosen from 16 beautiful beauties and young men. In total, over 200 applications were submitted for the competition from students of different courses and specialties.

To assess the beauty and talent of girls and boys, 5 rounds of the competition were held: defile – greeting, choreography, homework, defile – ethnics, defile – evening out.

The jury of the competition, in addition to the vice-rector for social and educational work Gerasimova Natalya Sergeevna, included the director of the DMIPK Nurtaeva Dana Kaldybaevna; organizer of the KVN movement of Kazakhstan, expert on youth policy, culture and sports of the Public Council of the city of Almaty, founder of the Republican knightly tournament “Batyr Bol Er Bala” Seitov Council Sautovich; executive director of KFW Aldongarova Botagoz; marketing director of the network “Kinopark” Zhulduz Son; photographer Ivan Stepanov; videographer Vasily Ustyuzhanin; director and designer of the ZARDOZI brand Laura Baizharasova; Mr. Turan 2021 Gasanov Ravil; Miss Kazakhstan 2022 Tomiris Kakimova; Vice-Miss Kazakhstan 2022 Tomiris Zair; Miss Earth Kazakhstan 2022 Dilnaz Tilayeva; director of the corporate segment of Qamalladin education Karim Dinara. The jury evaluated the couples according to various criteria.

The organizers of the beauty contest turned each appearance of the finalists on stage into a bright show, the participants of which were the student organizations Turan’s Trumps and MusLab.

At the 1st stage of the competition, the finalists were introduced to the guests and demonstrated their skills in a defile, after which the contestants immediately proceeded to the 2nd stage of the competition – showing the choreography.

Stage 3 of the show “Mr. and Miss Turan”, staged moments from films in the theme of “New Hollywood”, presented the audience with the ability of the participants to demonstrate acting skills, creativity and organizational skills. The brightest moments of such films as Titanic, The Hunger Games, The Great Gestby, Blade Runner 2049 and others were shown on the stage.

At the next stage, the finalists had to submit ethnic costumes. The highlight of this tour was that the guys prepared the designs for their costumes on their own. Bright and unique outfits did not leave anyone indifferent from those present.

The climax of the evening was approaching. After 4 main rounds of the competition, 16 beautiful young men and women took the stage in elegant outfits from the exquisite clothing brand Zardozi for the final fashion show – evening outing.

While the jury retired to the scoring room and announced the results, the audience was entertained by student organizations with their bright musical and dance numbers.

As a result of the discussion, 4 honorary titles were named for the first time. The titles of Vice-Mister and Vice-Miss Turan 2022 were received by 2nd and 3rd year students of the Acting Art educational program Akbarov Rahman and Tobagabyl Leyla.

The coveted title of Mr. Turan 2022 was won by Namysbay Beksultan, a 1st year student of the STEM Business School. Well, the favorite of the evening and part-time Miss Turan 2022 was Titova Victoria, a 3rd year student of the educational program “Management”. The winners of the competition were congratulated by the Vice-Rector for Social and Educational Work Natalya Sergeevna Gerasimova. In addition to the crown and honorary titles, Beksultan and Victoria received a nominal scholarship and a rector’s grant for 1 semester on behalf of Alshanov Rahman Alshanovich, as well as a large number of additional prizes from our partners and sponsors.
