Cooperation of the universities «Turan» (Almaty) and IGSU (Moscow). Summer school, results

On August 21-27, 2023, teachers and students of the University «Turan» OP «International Relations», «Tourism», «Restaurant business and hotel business» within the framework of the summer school «Project Management: methodology, tools, methods» took an active part in the planned events. Experienced practitioners gave lectures to the participants of the school: Vladimir Ogloblin, ex-HRD and T&D of Lorus SCM companies (Sollers Group), TechnoNICOL Trading Systems, etc., Associate Professor of the Department of Organizational Design of Management Systems of IGSU, RANEPA; Denis Prima, director and creative producer of the Khudyakov Production project, YouTube channels Fametime TV and Rasstriga.doc , and others. It was especially interesting to visit the enterprises located on the territory of the SEZ «Technopolis Moscow» and in the technopark «Kalibr». An important component of the school was the creation of projects by students under the guidance of five curators and the defense of projects before the jury.

The winners – the StartAPI project (about creating a neural network for the development of creative entrepreneurship) and the Musical Territory project (in the nomination «Best Video») were awarded valuable prizes. An educational bonus was a cultural program with a visit to the sights of the city of Moscow. Zhenis Aida, a 4th-year student of the OP «International Relations», stayed for another 4 months in Moscow under the academic mobility program. In the future, it is planned to develop relations within the framework of the signed memorandum between the universities in the form of organizing a winter school with a discussion of trends in international consulting and a separate program for young teachers.

Universities’ support of students not only within the framework of the compulsory educational process, but also in additional programs in the form of winter or summer schools is a strategic direction in the process of training new generation specialists.
