Project activities of the Higher School of Finance and Accounting

Since 2018, students of the Higher School of Finance and Accounting (HSFA) majoring in “Finance” have been residents of the Business Incubator. Over the years, significant work has been carried out. A Consultation Request Registration Journal has been maintained. Meetings have been held with representatives of the business sector, including the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market, the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Financial Monitoring, second-tier banks, insurance companies, and investment firms, as well as with trainers. Additionally, residents actively participate in various scientific project competitions.

 

 

Projects presented in the Business Incubator:

 

  1. “Business Consulting Center of Turan University” (2018). The goal of the project is to provide business plans with real chances of obtaining investments and implementation while avoiding risks. Services were provided to university students in Almaty for launching startups.
  2. “Infographic Studio of Turan University” (2019). The main goal of this project is to visualize statistical information effectively.
  3. “Financial Literacy 360: Training and Tax Consulting Services” (2024). The developers of this project were awarded the First-Degree Diploma in the annual youth business project competition “Turan Innovations.” The project results were acknowledged by the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market with an official Act of Implementation, and authorship certificates for the projects have been issued.

 

The residents are members of the Scientific and Innovative Student Club “Financier”. Their achievements have been recognized with diplomas and certificates from international and national competitions. They have represented Turan University multiple times at international forums (Volgograd, Russia), the International Financial Security Olympiad (Sochi, Russia), as well as at national scientific competitions in Astana, Karaganda, and Almaty.

 

Furthermore, the residents are members of the International Scientific Student Club “Territory of Interstate Student Cooperation in Researching Organizational Risk Management under Uncertainty, New Challenges, and Threats in AML/CFT”, where they present reports on economic security issues in the country.

 

The Head of the Student Scientific Society and mentor of the projects is Senior Lecturer of HSFA Nazia Musakhanova. Nazia Aruevna has extensive experience not only in academia but also in practical work in Kazakhstan’s banking sector. She has served as an economic affairs manager in one of the largest corporations, “Kazakhmys Corporation LLP.” She has published more than 60 scientific articles and authored multiple textbooks.
