Tau-Turan Tourism and Hospitality Festival: the first step to success!
On April 19, the Tau-Turan Educational and Wellness Complex hosted the Festival of Tourism and Hospitality Hospitality & Travel: Your Route of Success, organized by the Higher School of Tourism and Hospitality. More than 100 applicants from schools and colleges in Almaty took part in the event.
The main purpose of the festival was to introduce future students to educational programs in the field of tourism, catering, hospitality and innovation management in the hospitality industry. HSE teachers conducted a series of fascinating and informative master classes aimed at developing professional skills and orientation in the world of the tourism industry, one of the most promising and dynamically developing sectors of the economy.
The master class program included:
- The basics of hiking and sports training: working with hiking equipment, climbing, traverse and rope descent, passing overhead and parallel crossings, mastering climbing knots. (Teachers: Berkimbaev T.B., Alimov M.Z., Ergeshov A.A., Belousov A., Kalinina V.)
- Fundamentals of service in the restaurant and hotel business: Fruit and vegetable Serving, as well as Garnishing — the aesthetics of serving and decorating dishes. (Teachers: Demeuova B.M., Koichubayeva D.S., Serik M.A., Anvarova D., Mohammad M.)
- Bar business: a master class on making simple cocktails from teachers and students of the Higher School of Economics. (Teachers: Burkitbay A.J., Antonyuk E., Vostrotin M.)
- Career guidance: individual consultations with a professional — Iskakova Adiya Batyrzhanovna, aimed at choosing a future profession.
All participants of the festival received personal certificates, and the most active were awarded with memorable prizes. During the event, schoolchildren and students not only gained theoretical knowledge, but also tried themselves in practice as specialists in the hospitality industry, asked questions and received detailed advice on admission to the Higher School of Tourism and Hospitality.
