XVII Republican Student Subject Olympiad on the educational program “International Relations”

On May 3, 2025, the XVII Republican Student Subject Olympiad was held at Turan University, organized by the Higher School of international relations and diplomacy on the educational program “International Relations”.

Students from the following universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in the Olympiad: Almaty Management University, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, SDU University, Narxoz University, Auezov South Kazakhstan State University, Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University, the Caspian State University of Technology and Engineering named after Sh.Yessenov, Kazakh-German University, Kenzhegali Sagadiyev University of International Business, Karaganda Buketov University, the Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages, Abay Myrzakhmetov Kokshetau University and Turan University.

The jury was chaired by Vlastimil Samek, a representative of the UN Department of Global Communications. The jury included high-level specialists – leading researchers from research universities, as well as professors from the relevant areas of the Olympiad: Nurken Iskakovich Aitymbetov, PhD, leading researcher at the Institute of Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies; Bimurad Badritdinovich Burkhanov, Master of History, researcher at the Ch.Ch. Valikhanov Institute of History and Ethnology; Bakhyt Sailaubaevich Zhusipov, associate professor, c.polit.sc., at the Kazakh National Women’s Pedagogical University; Leila Fedorovna Delovarova, PhD in international relations, director of the Academic Center for Regional Resource Information on the UN at Al-Farabi KazNU; Tolganai Budenovna Umbetalieva, c.polit.sc., director general of the Central Asian Foundation for Democracy Development; Toralanbaeva Kenzhe Uskembaevna – doctor hist.sc., chief researcher at the Institute of History and Ethnology named after Ch.Ch. Valikhanov; Kamalov Ablet Kayumovich – doctor h.sc., professor, President of the Central Eurasian Studies Society (CESS); Askhat Gulnash – PhD, associate professor, Head of the Professional Department of International Relations at the Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages; Ibadildin Nygmet – PhD in political science and international relations, professor at KIMEP University.

According to the results of the XVII Republican student subject Olympiad on the educational program “International Relations”, the following places were won:

• 1st place – Auezov South Kazakhstan State University (language: English). (Salim D.E., Amangeldi D.B. and Nurlybekova A.M.)
• 2nd place – Abay Myrzakhmetov Kokshetau University (language: Russian). (Aubakirova A.M., Kyzambayev A.S. and Idrisova A.Ya.)
• 2nd place – Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (language: Kazakh). (Abubakirov A.A., Sailau S.K. and Minaz A.U.)
• 3rd place – SDU University (language: Kazakh). (Zhumagali A.T., Ainabekova A.A. and Userbaeva A.G.)
• 3rd place – the Caspian State University of Technology and Engineering named after Sh.Yessenov (language: Russian). (Abishev S.S., Safronov A.A. and Zakaria Zh.N.)
• 3rd place – Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University (language: English). (Ongarbay N. and Andasov A.)
