September 25, 2025 at the Turan University, the traditional Pages of World Poetry contest was once again organized by the faculty of the Higher School of Media and Intercultural Communications. Among the organizers were Associate Professors Karlygash Z. Zhappar and Nuriya M. Tomanova, as well as Senior Lecturers Ekaterina S. Kovalenko and Aida A. Mukhametkali. The purpose of the contest was to increase students’ interest in poetry, develop their skills in artistic recitation, and promote the classics of world poetry.
Students gave expressive readings of selected works from Kazakh and world literature, winning the admiration of the audience. The spectators enjoyed poems and verses by Abai Kunanbayuly, Shakarim Kudaiberdiyuly, Mukagali Makataev, as well as Alexander Pushkin’s famous “Tatiana’s letter.”

The event aimed to develop students’ language culture, enhance their creative abilities, and foster respect for both national and world literary heritage. The poetry contest became an inspiring evening that enriched students’ spiritual world and nurtured their love for literature.
