International Internship “InterNews” for Turan University Students

Students of the Higher School of Media and Intercultural Communications at Turan University took part in the international program “InterNews”, organized by Rossotrudnichestvo for media representatives and young specialists from CIS countries. The program, held in Moscow, aimed to develop professional skills in media, PR, and international communications. It included lectures, master classes, practical sessions, and tours of Russia’s leading media platforms.

Nargiza Kabdollaeva, a 4th-year student, completed her internship at the 360.Mytiщи TV channel, where she developed content ideas for the Telegram channel, implemented her own projects, observed the news production process, and participated in editorial discussions. She also took part in filming a short interview with the music band Sarma 38, gaining practical experience in organizing a shoot and collaborating within a production team.
“This internship helped me understand how real newsroom work is built — where speed, precision, and teamwork are essential. It was a valuable experience that strengthened my passion for this field,” shared Nargiza.

Evelina Tsarevskaya, a 3rd-year student, visited leading Russian media platforms, including TASS and RT, where she observed how news content is prepared for various regional audiences, including Arabic and Turkish. She also visited the State Duma of the Russian Federation and the LDPR party headquarters, where the role of media and PR in social and political communication was discussed.
“I was able to see the media sphere from the inside — from information gathering to the release of the final material. This experience broadened my professional vision and showed how important responsibility is for journalists and PR specialists before their audience,” noted Evelina.

Aziza Abdrakhmanova, a 3rd-year student, explored media platforms such as RuTube, Premier, the VK headquarters, and the IMA-Press Agency, where she studied the use of modern digital tools, SMM, and artificial intelligence in blogging.
“What inspired me most was the opportunity to learn from practicing professionals and see firsthand how new technologies influence media development. This internship became a significant step in my professional growth,” said Aziza.

The program concluded with cultural excursions around Moscow, including a visit to the New Tretyakov Gallery, which allowed participants to combine professional learning with cultural enrichment.
For the students, this experience became not only an opportunity to expand their horizons and strengthen their media and communication skills but also an important stage in their personal and professional development.
