The Turan Higher School of Psychology and the International Institute for Existential Counseling are organizing a practical training seminar on psychotherapy and clinical psychology

From January 9 to 11, 2026, a practical seminar titled “Intensive Therapeutic Life” will take place in Almaty, hosted by Turan University. Organizers: Turan Higher School of Psychology and the International Institute for Existential Counseling (IIEC).

At the heart of the seminar is the method “Intensive Therapeutic Life” (ITL), developed by Alexander Yefimovich Alekseychik – psychiatrist, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Honored Physician of Lithuania, lecturer at HEPI (Vilnius) and IIEC. His approach cannot be conveyed through techniques alone – it must be personally experienced, reflected upon, and integrated into one’s professional and personal practice.

Also featured in the program:

  • Semen Yeselson – Board Member of the European Federation for Existential Therapy, Vice President of OPPL, Chair of the IIEC Council
  • Galikhan Idrisov – psychologist, psychotherapist, one of the first organizers of therapeutic groups in Kazakhstan

The seminar creates a space where:

  • Therapy is felt as a way of being, not a set of methods
  • The professional community becomes a supportive environment
  • Personal challenges can be lived through and understood
  • Encounters with oneself, with others, and with the living process emerge

The format involves deep immersion, where remaining a passive observer is impossible. This is an experience that stays with a person – in practice, in relationships, in life.
