The Higher School of Law of Turan University hosted a guest lecture by Zhanar Kenzhalievna Shurenova, lawyer of the Regional Bar Association, lawyer of the Adlet-ar Law Firm, on the topic “Criminal and civil proceedings: differences and peculiarities”. The moderator of the event was Candidate of Law Indira Temirbekovna Musabekova.
The guest lecture was intended for 2nd and 3rd year students of the Law education program. During the meeting, Shurenova’s lawyer J.K. She shared her practical experience in conducting cases within the two jurisdictions, explained in detail the differences in the principles of judicial proceedings, the role of the parties and the standards of evidence. This lecture was especially useful for future lawyers, as it allowed them to see how the norms of the CPC of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the CPC of the Republic of Kazakhstan are applied in practice, identify the necessary skills for a defender and representative, and understand the specifics of forming a strategy of behavior in court.
Such meetings develop students’ professional thinking, strengthen their legal culture and help them consciously choose the direction of their future specialization.
