On November 3, 2025, a guest lecture titled “Application of Information Security Standards ISO 27000, 31000” was held in room 608 for 3rd-year students of the Information Systems and Intelligent Robotics programs.
The lecture was delivered by Nikita Gelyush, Lecturer of Special Disciplines at the College of Turan University. He provided a detailed overview of the international ISO 27000 and ISO 31000 standards, their role in developing information security and risk management systems, as well as practical examples of their implementation in educational and corporate environments.
After the lecture, students showed great interest in the practical application of international information security standards. They asked questions about how ISO 27000 and ISO 31000 are implemented in Kazakhstani companies, the stages of the certification process, and the professional requirements for cybersecurity specialists. Special attention was paid to topics such as personal data protection, risk management in educational institutions, and cooperation between IT departments and information security services. Some students were also interested in opportunities for obtaining international certificates and building a career in auditing and consulting based on ISO standards.
