On December 5, 2025, Turan University hosted a student scientific and practical conference titled “Digital Transformation of Kazakhstan: The Youth Perspective” in the coworking hall “Civilization of Turan.”
The purpose of the conference was to discuss the key directions for the development of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in the Republic of Kazakhstan, with the participation of faculty members and students, as well as to engage young people in research and project-based activities in the field of digital transformation.
The conference participants were welcomed by Dina Ibragimovna Razakova, Vice-Rector for Strategic Development, Science, and Innovation, and Zhangeldi Rakhmetkazyuly Agybay, Director of the Higher School of International Relations and Diplomacy.
In their speeches, they emphasized the relevance of the conference topic, highlighted the importance of developing artificial intelligence and digital technologies for the sustainable development of Kazakhstan, and underscored the role of youth and universities in shaping the country’s digital economy. The speakers wished the participants productive work, meaningful discussions, and successful implementation of scientific ideas and projects.

As part of the conference, a plenary session and thematic section meetings were held, focusing on digital innovations and state digitalization, the application of artificial intelligence in the economy, education, and the social sphere, the development of digital competencies among young people, modern digital services and ecosystems in Kazakhstan, as well as issues of cybersecurity and digital ethics.
The conference brought together undergraduate and graduate students, young researchers, and faculty members from Turan University, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, AUES, as well as 11th-grade students from the Al-Farabi Specialized Lyceum, who presented their research papers and project developments. Active participation was also taken by Gulnar Abraikulovna Abrakhmatova, PhD, Associate Professor of the Higher School of International Relations and Diplomacy. Overall, the discussions were characterized by an active exchange of views and contributed to the development of students’ research and analytical skills.
Following the conference, the publication of an electronic collection of proceedings, including the best presentations by the participants, is planned.
