Turan University Hosts an Open Day for College Students

On December 8, 2025, Turan University hosted an Open Day in the format of an educational program presentation titled “Become a Professional: Your Start Toward a Dream Career” for prospective students from Turan University College. As part of the event, the educational programs Tourism, Restaurant business and Hospitality, and Tourism and hospitality innovation management were presented.

 

The event opened with a welcome address by Gaukhar Shiderina, Director of the Higher School of Tourism and Hospitality, who spoke about study opportunities, the advantages of the educational programs, and prospects for professional development in the tourism and hospitality industry.

 

A representative of the Admissions Office provided detailed information on admission requirements and opportunities for college graduates, and answered questions related to the application process and studies at the university.

 

Particular interest among participants was generated by communication with graduates of Turan University from the Tourism and Restaurant business and Hospitality programs, who shared their practical work experience in the industry and discussed employer expectations for future professionals.

 

During the meeting, Temirlan Sanauarov, a master’s student of the Higher School of Tourism and Hospitality and a graduate of the Restaurant business and Hospitality program, delivered a speech in which he emphasized the practice-oriented approach to education, active student involvement in professional and project-based activities, and broad opportunities for future employment, including abroad.

 

Aisulu Kenzhebekova, Operations Manager at the tour operator Rustar Tourism, spoke about the specifics of her company’s work, real-world requirements for young professionals, and highlighted the high demand in the tourism industry for qualified specialists trained in accordance with modern market needs.

 

The event concluded with an interactive quiz, during which participants were able to test their knowledge and receive memorable prizes.

 

The meeting was moderated by A.V. Velichko, Senior Lecturer of the Higher School of Tourism and Hospitality.
