Guest lecture by KPMG – career opportunities and starting a consulting career

Today, “Turan” University hosted a guest lecture by KPMG titled Career opportunities at KPMG. The speakers were Danil Spirin (Head of Talent Acquisition) and Daiana Issabayeva (Employer Brand Specialist).

During the session, participants discussed how career paths are built in a global company, which roles and service lines are most in demand at the entry level, and which competencies increase the likelihood of successfully passing the selection process. A special focus was placed on practical steps – how to present project and internship experience, how to approach interviews, and how to build a strong professional profile.

The lecture was held in an interactive format: participants actively asked questions about candidate requirements, internship and entry-level opportunities, recruitment timelines and stages, and how to plan professional development strategically – from the first steps in the profession to conscious career management.

Key topics covered:

  • career opportunities and pathways at KPMG
  • selection process logic: stages and criteria
  • “success blueprint” – building a strong early-career trajectory
  • employer branding and personal professional brand
  • Q&A on internships, interviews, and skills development
