On February 13, 2026, the Higher school of international relations and diplomacy organized an online meeting with Erkin Valitkhanovich Tukumov, Ambassador-at-Large of the Ministry of foreign affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Erkin Valitkhanovich fulfills an important activity as Kazakhstan’s representative in Afghanistan.
He discussed the current situation in Afghanistan and explained Kazakhstan’s position on the government of the country. According to Kazakhstan’s official position, relations with Afghanistan are based on pragmatism, non-interference in internal affairs, and the promotion of stability through economic engagement and humanitarian assistance.
