A national student scientific-practical conference was held on the topic “Shokan Ualikhanov – a Prominent Kazakh Scholar”

On March 17, Turan University hosted a scientific event aimed at developing students’ independent research skills. In addition to Turan University students, participants included students from the Kazakh Academy of Architecture and Construction, Narxoz University, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Kazakh-American University, K. Sagadiyev International Business University, and ALT University named after Mukhamedzhan Tynyshbayev.

During the conference, the rich scientific legacy of the 19th-century prominent cultural figure, great Kazakh scholar, educator-democrat, traveler, and contributor to multiple fields of science – Shokan Ualikhanov – was discussed in depth. Participants highlighted the historical, scientific, and spiritual significance of his works and shared reflections on their relevance from a contemporary perspective.

The conference served as an important platform for developing students’ research skills, promoting national science and cultural heritage, and enhancing the intellectual potential of young scholars.
