Think Global, Build Local

Think Global, Build Local: Youth Forum held at Turan University

On March 14, 2026, the White Hall of Turan University hosted the youth forum Think Global, Build Local. The event was organized by the Kazakhstan Students International Cooperation (KSIC). The main goal of the forum was to support youth development, expand networking opportunities, increase interest in international experience, and promote the study of foreign languages.

Students from Turan University, SDU, Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, Narxoz University, and the University of International Relations and World Languages took part in the forum. In total, around 50 participants attended the event. During the forum, speakers with experience in various fields shared their knowledge and practical insights. Among them were Zhasmin Akhmedova, Akbota Nysanbayeva, Bakytgul Salykova, Chang Sungjin, Park Hyohyun, and Abutalip Nursaule. In their speeches, they covered topics such as international experience, career development, entrepreneurship, language learning, and global thinking, while also offering valuable advice to young people.

The forum was not limited to lectures and also included interactive elements. After every two speeches, special games were organized for participants, creating a relaxed and engaging atmosphere in the hall. In addition, Q&A sessions were held after each presentation, during which participants and moderators asked questions. This format enabled direct interaction with the speakers and allowed attendees to receive answers to their questions.

At the end of the event, participants were divided into teams and completed a practical task on developing business ideas. In this part, they proposed strategies for bringing a product to market, promoting it, and ensuring its further development, based on the speakers’ recommendations.

The forum was organized by KSIC leaders Orynbayev Akezhan and Kadyrbek Aruzhan. Members of the organization Igasan Tomiris, Kalkaman Saltanat, Nurgazina Aliya, and Serikhan Aigerim also made a significant contribution to the successful organization of the event.

The Think Global, Build Local forum became a platform for new ideas and opportunities for young people, providing participants with international exposure, new connections, and motivation for the future. The event once again highlighted the importance of global thinking combined with local action.
