She is the art director of the Eurasia Film Festival, the author of more than 7 literary publications devoted to the cinematography of Kazakhstan and Central Asia, as well as the author of many international and national articles, more than 6 monographs and albums, the editor of collections. She is a member of the Union of Filmmakers of Kazakhstan (since 1998); A member of the FIPRESCI International Association of Film Critics; A member of the NETPACK Asian Association of Film Critics; Member of the jury of international film festivals in Almaty (Kazakhstan, 2003), Oberhausen (Germany, 2004), Karlovy Vary (Czech Republic, 2006), Wiesbadan, Cottbus (Germany, 2006), Gyeongju (South Korea, 2007), Berlin (Germany, 2008, 2009), Singapore (Singapore, 2009), Oxford and Cambridge (UK, 2009), Moscow (Russia, 2010), Abu Dhabi (UAE, 2011), Delhi (India, 2012). She is the author of five books devoted to the cinematography of Kazakhstan and Central Asia. For the book “Cinema of Central Asia” she was awarded the “White Elephant” award of the Guild of Film Critics and Critics of Russia (2001). For the book “Nation—building in Kazakhstan and other Central Asian countries, and how that process is reflected in cinema” – the Kulager Award of the Union of Cinematographers of Kazakhstan as the best film work of the year (2007).
