Darina Manapova, a 2nd-year master’s student of the “Turan Film Academy”, has completed the shooting of a short film

Darina Manapova, a 2nd-year master’s student and graduate of the bachelor’s degree in the educational program “Directing” of the “Turan Film Academy”, has completed the shooting of a short film shot at the cinema residence in Basel. The film under the working title “Prima” was created with the support of the Basel House of Cinema, in whose cinema residence Darina was selected in January 2022.

The film crew consisted of figures from the Swiss film industry, as well as filmmakers from different countries, such as India and Italy.

Darina Manapova created the project as a producer, screenwriter and director. This is her first international project.

The Basel Cinema Residence also hosted a screening of Darina’s film «Escape”, made as part of a graduation project.
