II PLACE AT THE V INTERNATIONAL DISTANCE STUDENT OLYMPIAD IN WORLD ECONOMY TEAMS OF 3RD AND 4TH YEAR STUDENTS OF THE EP “WORLD ECONOMY”

On April 18-19, 2022, the team from the Department of “World and National Economy” became the winner of the V International Distance Student Olympiad on the World Economy on the basis of the Karaganda University named after Academician E.A. Buketov together with the Regional Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Karaganda region “Atameken”. Teams from Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan competed for the victory in the Olympiad. The team of the University “Turan” “Creative breakthrough” consisting of Orynbek Kamilla, Yerlanuly Anuar and Kim Evgeniya, under the guidance of Professor of the department Hadzhieva Gulzhakhan Usmanovna, scored high points on all three rounds, testing, essay, defense of the business project and took II place. In the individual competition, students of the Turan team Kim Evgenia and Yerlanuly Anuar took the I and II places, respectively.The team presented the commercial business project “VR&ARealty” – a real estate agency using virtual and augmented reality technologies in the real estate business. During the preparation of the project, students demonstrated their theoretical knowledge, critical thinking, innovative and entrepreneurial skills, the ability to solve tasks constructively and harmoniously, and creative passion. The competition commission particularly noted the high level of training and creative approach of the Turan University team!

Kim Evgeniya, a 4th-year student of the EP “World Economy”, shared her impressions of participation: “It was the first time I participated in an Olympiad of this kind, so this experience is irreplaceable for me. Despite the fact that the Olympiad was held remotely, this did not diminish the impressions of the performances of other participants. It was especially interesting to listen to the presentations of participants from other countries. It was a bit exciting to come up with your own business project via video link, but our team showed its best side. The members of the commission showed interest in our idea, which also left a positive impression. Participation in this Olympiad has provided me with new acquaintances and opportunities!”
