On the importance of accounting competencies for auditor career development

On October 6, 2022, an audit master class on the topic «Audit planning in the context of digitalization of the Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan» was held for graduates of the Bachelor’s degree program «Accounting and Audit» within the framework of the international scientific and practical forum “Global Changes: Challenges of Science and Education” dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turan University. The master class was conducted by Olga Iosifovna Schmidt, Deputy Audit Director of the National Audit Company «TsentrauditKazakhstan». Students received useful information about the specifics of planning audit activities in the conditions of digitalization of the economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Questions were asked about the stages of audit planning and methods of obtaining audit evidence. Also, the director of the NAC «CentruditKazakhstan», Candidate of Economics, Associate Professor Viktor Vladimirovich Radostovets spoke to the students, who spoke about the importance of the accounting competencies acquired by students for the auditor’s career growth. The students received exhaustive answers to all the questions.
