Meeting of «Turan» university students with the honored worker of the diplomatic service of the Republic of Kazakhstan

On February 16, 2023, «Turan» university hosted a meeting of «Turan» university students with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Honored worker of the Diplomatic Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Candidate of Historical Sciences Smagulov Agybay Dynkenovich. Agybay Dynkenovich gave a lecture on the topic «Methodology for studying the host country by a diplomat». During the meeting, the speaker spoke about his experience in the diplomatic service, the features of the formation of a system of interstate relations and the role of a diplomat in them. The students showed great interest in this meeting and gained useful experience for their development as future specialists in international relations. The meeting was organized by the Department of «Regional Studies and International Relatios» within the «Diplomat» Club.

Smagulov Agybay Dynkenovich was the Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Tajikistan, Ambassador-at-Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, supervised the issues of Afghanistan and the fight against international terrorism and extremism. From 2018 to 2020 was the Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee of the CIS, located in the city of Minsk.

By the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan A. Smagulov was awarded the highest diplomatic rank Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan and by the order of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan was awarded the title of «Honored Worker of the Diplomatic Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan».
