II International Marketing Tournament

On February 23, 2023, the Department of Marketing and Logistics of Turan University held the II International Marketing Tournament for students of universities, colleges “USkills-up Marketing Battle” (online).

 

This tournament was held for those who want to apply the acquired knowledge and skills to solve practical problems in the field of marketing, as well as to promote the profession of a marketing specialist. Expert support of the competition was conducted by marketing specialists, entrepreneurs, representatives of the Kazakhstan Marketing Association and business structures.

 

The USkills-up Marketing Battle tournament was devoted to the following questions: what is metaverse, what are its main properties, why does business need it and what opportunities it provides right now, what are the main barriers to its development and what awaits us in the near and not only future.

 

The jury of the battle was represented by the following composition:

 

  • Dana Dudkina, current member of the Kazakh and American marketing associations, founder of the international company DD Market Consulting LLC in the USA;
  • Alina Kopbaeva, current member of the Kazakhstan Marketing Association, Lenovo Regional Marketing Manager in Central Asia;
  • Mukhamedkarimova Anelia Malikovna, Executive Director of the Kazakhstan Marketing Association, instructor of Apple Education – Apple Teacher educational programs, marketing expert of the EBRD Women in Business program ;
  • Chakeeva Karylgash Sailaubaevna, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Marketing and Logistics at Turan University.

 

The battle was attended by the teams of Stavropol State Agrarian University; AlmatyManagement University; Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation (Moscow); Narkhoz University (2 teams); Plekhanov Russian University of Economics and Business, Higher School of Finance; Al-Farabi KAZNU.

 

The prizes were distributed as follows:

 

1st place – AlmaMeta AlmatyManagement University team consisting of Sharipova Denmark, Ismailov Kenzhebek, Duysenkhan Medet;

2nd place – Cosmstars team of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, Moscow, consisting of Elizabeth Belousova, Victoria Shakhnozarova;

3rd place – the Galactic Marketers team of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, Moscow, consisting of Julia Andreeva, Elizabeth Telnova, Anna Grakovich;

3rd place – the “MarketeRRa” team of Stavropol State Agrarian University consisting of Polina Lapina, Mikhail Stupnitsky, Victoria Yemelyanova.
