The winners of the Sirius Cup VI School League tournament have been determined

On April 1-2, 2023, a traditional republican tournament with the Sirius Cup VI school league was held at Turan University, organized by the Sirius intellectual debate club.

Turan University is an innovative corporation founded in 1992. In our university there are various organizations that allow the student to develop as a person. One of such organizations is the intellectual debate club “Sirius”. Despite the fact that this organization is only 6 years old, it has already reached many heights, having prepared the winners of republican and regional debate tournaments.

In the first days of April, the next Sirius CUP VI tournament for schoolchildren was held at the highest level under the auspices of the Turan pedestal. The participants of the competition did their best and showed an interesting fight for the main prize – the “Rector’s Grant” for 4 years on behalf of the rector of the University “Turan” Rahman Alshanovich Alshanov.

64 factions, 128 participants from 7 regions of Kazakhstan took part in the tournament. During the debate competition, schoolchildren reflected on topics of global importance, exchanged personal opinions, and also held discussions on topical issues.

Following the results of the two-day tournament, out of 128 participants, the speaker of the Aktobe faction “Zhas Talpyn” Zeynelgabylova Zhannur became the best speaker and the owner of a 2-year rector’s grant from Turan University.

Speakers of the Zhabgu faction Kadylbek Moldir and Akimzhan Aruzhan were awarded in the nomination “Best Breakthrough”.

Hapan Bekzhan and Magamet Zhibekzhan from Karaganda region took the third place in the standings, having received a rector’s grant for 1 year at Turan University.

Thanks to the breadth of horizons and enthusiasm for knowledge, the runners-up Okan Asyl and Bakytbek Akbota got the opportunity for 2 years of free study at the university “Turan”.

The honorary first place and the rector’s grant for 4 years at Turan University were awarded to Almaty schoolchildren Sultanbek Mukhamedali and Mels Zhibek.
