Students of the educational program “Restaurant business and hotel business”, as well as teachers of the department “Tourism and Service” twice visited the events of the VIII Week of Italian cuisine in the world, at the invitation of the Department for the development of trade exchange of the Embassy of Italy in Kazakhstan.
On November 14, during the seminar, Professor Pasquale Iaia and the President of the Amerigo Vespucci Institute (Rome), Mrs. Maria Teresa Corea, addressed the students. The event was held at the Italian Institute of Culture IIC on the theme “With Italian CUISINE AT THE TABLE: HEALTHY AND DELICIOUS”.
On November 17, our department took part in a culinary master class. The master class was conducted by chef Pasquale-Yaya, professor of the State Professional Institute of Services for Enogastronomy and Hospitality “Amerigo Vespucci”.
Chef Pasquale-Yaya masterfully demonstrated the method of cooking mezzelune with smoked provola cheese with a sauce of fresh tomatoes, basil pesto with parmesan flakes. And for dessert, the secrets of making white chocolate dumplings with nut cookies and raspberry sauce were revealed.
The culinary master class ended with a tasting of prepared dishes, which allowed students to become one step closer to Italy.
