Role-playing student game «UN Mini Model»

On December 20, 2023, the Department of Regional Studies and International Relations of the Turan University organized and conducted a scientific role-playing game “UN Model” where 70 students of the EP “International Relations” and “Regional Studies” took part.

At the opening of the student game, Mr. Vlastimil Samek, who is the Representative of the UN Department of Global Communications and the Head of the UN Information Office in Kazakhstan, delivered a welcoming speech to the participants. Mr. Samek noted that participation in the game contributes to the acquisition of diplomatic, leadership, public speaking and language skills, as well as the ability to come to a compromise on complex political issues. All these qualities are necessary attributes of future specialists in the field of world politics and regional studies.

The most relevant and discussed agendas that concern the world community were prepared for the participants.

Based on the results of the work, the six best delegates were selected and awarded.

Newcomers admitted that the UN Model game helps them realize the significance of their future and feel part of the world community.
