International scientific and practical conference «Cultural-historical heritage of zoroastrianism in the context of the evolution of the peoples of the Eurasian continent»

On January 25, the International scientific and practical conference “Cultural-historical heritage of Zoroastrianism in the context of the evolution of the peoples of the Eurasian continent” was held at the «Turan» University together with Institute of Philosophy, political science and religious studies SC MSHE RK. The purpose of the conference is a complex consideration of scientific-theoretical and practical problems of the cultural and historical heritage of the Zoroastrian doctrine through the prism of comprehension of evolutionary processes in the Eurasian space.

The conference was attended by leading experts and famous scientists from Iran, USA, Spain, Azerbaijan, Russia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, as well as kazakh researchers, religious figures and diplomats.

At the plenary session, 12 reports by scientists and experts from 7 countries were heard. The conference was held in a hybrid face-to-face and remote format: half of the participants presented their papers on-line. The main moderator was the President of the Association of Universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan R.A. Alshanov. He also gave a keynote speech on theoretical and methodological issues of Zoroastrianism on the topic “Zartush: the path from priest to prophet. From the shores of Zhaiyk (Dzhaik, Datia) to Balkh”.

Along with other scientific reports of kazakh scientists, the results of research by foreign scientists Mehraban Poladi (Iran), Fahimeh Shakiba (Iran), Miksyuk Anastasia Stepanovna (Belarus), Makhmudova Guli Tilabovna (Uzbekistan), Gil Fuensanta Jesus (Spain), Choksy, Jamsheed K. (USA) presented to the attention of the conference participants.

As a continuation of the conference after the plenary session, sectional sessions were held on current issues of Zoroastrianism. The main moderator was the director of the philosophy center of the Institute of Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies of the SC MSHE RK, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor S.E. Nurmuratov. In general, the conference became a platform for the exchange of knowledge, experience and ideas, involving scientists and experts from different countries in an interesting discussion.
