Extended meeting of the Higher School of Economics and Management

On September 3, 2024, an extended meeting of the Higher School of Economics and Management was held, which was organized by merging the departments.

 

The meeting was attended by the faculty of the Higher School, students, employers, representatives of business and government agencies, including Abilshaikov N.B., Managing Director of Qazaq oil, Uzbekhanov N.B., Head of the Department for Control in the Sphere of Civil Service of the Department of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Civil Service Affairs in Almaty, Ismagulov R.B., Director of Trade Marketing Solutions LLP and others.

 

The main goal of the meeting was to discuss issues related to the readiness of the Higher School of Economics and Management for the start of the upcoming academic year, updating the modular educational programs “Economics”, “World Economy”, “Management”, “Public and Local Government” and the catalog of educational modules, as well as improving the educational process and developing areas of activity of the Higher School. Those present discussed strategic objectives for the near future and assessed the current changes in the educational system. Students of the Higher School actively participated in the discussions and shared their vision, reflecting their expectations from the educational process and future professional activities.

 

Results of the meeting of the Higher School of Economics and Management:

 

  • The participants of the meeting discussed the importance of updating educational modules taking into account modern trends in economics and management, strengthening the interdisciplinary approach.
  • Business representatives shared their vision on issues of personnel training and requirements for graduates. The need to strengthen practice-oriented training and expand professional practice programs was emphasized.
  • The students proposed closer cooperation with employers, including through master classes, round tables and seminars with the participation of leading experts. Students emphasized the importance of regular interaction with potential employers in order to better understand the current requirements of the labor market.
  • The meeting outlined key areas of development for the Higher School of Economics and Management, focused on innovation, scientific activity, close cooperation with business and the government, development of academic mobility, and joint educational programs as well as double degree programs, and improving the quality of training specialists.

 

The meeting was held in an atmosphere of constructive dialogue, and its results are aimed at further improving the educational process, increasing the practical significance of educational programs and strengthening ties between the academic and professional community.
