27 September at ‘Turan’ University was held a significant event – the Day of Languages of the Peoples of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In the assembly hall was held a holiday dedicated to linguistic and cultural diversity, which makes Kazakhstan’s society unique. The event was attended by representatives of different ethnic groups, students and numerous guests who supported this important event.
More than seven higher schools of the university took part in the celebration, including the Higher School of Media and Intercultural Communication, the Higher School of Law, the Higher School of Psychology, the Higher School of Finance and Accounting, the Higher School of Marketing and Logistics and others. Each school prepared its own performances, presenting cultural peculiarities in the chosen languages and treating the audience to national dishes. The concert programme also included a performance by the musical group ‘MUSLAB’.
According to the results of the competition, the first place was taken by the students of the Higher School of International Relations and Diplomacy, who were awarded with certificates. Other participants received awards in various nominations, such as ‘Best Production’, ‘Best Comedy Production’, ‘Best Special Effects’ and ‘Best Costumes’.
Concluding the event, the organisers expressed their gratitude to the university management for their help in holding the festival.
