Preventive meeting dedicated to gambling and drug addiction

On November 4, 2024, a preventive meeting was held at Turan University, dedicated to such topical issues as gambling addiction and drug addiction. The lecture for students and staff was given by clinical psychologists of the youth center – Zhenisova Asem Erzhankyzy and Marinets Rita Vladimirovna with the support of the university’s health and wellness center.

The main goal of the event was to draw attention to the problems of addiction and raise awareness of prevention methods. Experts talked about the signs and dangers associated with gambling addiction and drug addiction, their negative impact on human health and social life. Students were given recommendations on preventing and overcoming addiction, as well as information on where to seek help if necessary.

Gambling addiction and drug addiction pose serious threats to young people, and such meetings play an important role in developing students’ responsible attitudes towards their health and well-being.
