Participation of teachers in the seminar-intensive on the theme ‘The Future of Almaty: Integration of new professions in educational programmes’

On November 13, 2024 on the basis of the University ‘AlmaU’ was held a seminar-intensive on the theme ‘The Future of Almaty: Integration of new professions in educational programmes’.

Teachers of ‘Turan’ University G.K. Yerubaeva, Dean of Humanities and Law Faculty, G.N. Shiderina, Director of the Higher School of Tourism and Hospitality, G.S. Faizullina, Associate Professor of the Higher School of Tourism and Hospitality took an active part in the seminar. During the seminar, the head of the Project Office of NCREO MNVO RK Sakenov O.B. made a presentation ‘Atlas of new professions and competences of the city of Almaty’. Speakers also made speeches: Saifedenov S.T. – Head of the Almaty City Education Department; Shayakhmet D.O. – Head of the research group ‘Atlas of new professions and competences of Almaty city’; Skiba M.A. – expert in the field of educational design.

In the framework of the Panel Session ‘Needs and Trends of Almaty: from the Atlas to the development of educational programs’ with the report ‘Analysis of current trends of the tourism industry in the labour market and their impact on educational programs’ was made by G.K. Yerubaeva. During the master classes ‘Methods of designing educational programs taking into account new professions’ ‘Foresight in education: anticipating future needs of the labour market’ teachers of ‘Turan’ University took an active part in discussing the issues of predicting future needs in education and training.
