On November 20-24, 2024, students and teachers of the Higher School of Tourism and Hospitality of Turan University took part in the annual International Youth Forum of Intellectuals (Kyrgyzstan, Cholpon-Ata), which was dedicated to the Year of the Volunteer Movement in the CIS countries. The Forum became an important event for all participants, as it presented a unique opportunity for young people from different countries to share their experiences and learn about volunteering in their countries.
The Kazakh delegation, including 4th year students of the OP “Tourism” and teachers represented by A.J. Burkitbai and D.S. Kochubaeva, proudly represented their university and country. At the forum, they spoke in detail about volunteering in Kazakhstan, as well as about those initiatives and projects that are actively developing at the university, such as the League of Volunteers and Qamqor bolike. Important attention was paid to those volunteer programs aimed at helping social institutions, supporting environmental initiatives and developing cultural and educational events.
During the forum, the Kazakh delegation also met with delegations from Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Russia, which became a real platform for cultural exchange. The forum participants shared their achievements in the field of volunteerism, discussed the problems faced by volunteer organizations, and also exchanged experiences in conducting social projects and events.
The Forum was not only an important stage in strengthening ties between the CIS countries, but also inspired young people to further develop volunteer activities and actively participate in society.
