School of Pedagogical skill – 2025 for the Faculty of Turan University

In January 2025, the faculty of our university successfully completed professional development courses under the following programs:

 

  • Features of Inclusive Education in Higher Education Institutions (conducted by N.Gerassimova – Vice-Rector for Education and Development at Turan University; and B.Nurmagambetova – Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor at the Higher School of Pedagogy of Pavlodar Pedagogical University named after A. Margulan ).
  • Application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tools in the Educational Process (conducted by S.Tussupova – Director of the Department of Academic Affairs at Turan University);
  • Development of Educational Programs for the City (based on the Atlas of New Professions and Competencies for Almaty), training session (led by M.Skiba – Expert at the Higher Education Development National Center).
  • Evaluation of Teaching Quality: Approaches, Criteria, and Tools (conducted by T. Mukhamedyarova-Levina – Chair of the Committee on Quality Control, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Professor at the Higher School of Finance and Accounting, Turan University);
  • Mastery of Public Speaking and Teaching (led by V.Popov and G.Sarinova – Senior Lecturers at the Higher School of Psychology, Turan University);
  • Current Issues in Modern Translation Studies: Challenges and Solutions in Translating Scientific, Legal, and Audiovisual Discourses (conducted by A.Zhumabekova – Professor at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University; A.Golovchun – Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor at the Higher School of International Relations and Mass Communications, Turan University; and E.Patashkova – Senior Lecturer at the Higher School of International Relations and Mass Communications, Turan University).
  • Professional Competencies in the Media Space: Content Analytics, Digital Technologies, and AI (conducted by A.Kurmanbayeva – Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor at the Higher School of International Relations and Mass Communications, Turan University; M.Shindaliyeva – Doctor of Philological Sciences, Research Professor at the Higher School of International Relations and Mass Communications, Turan University; and B.Aldongarova – Senior Lecturer at the Higher School of International Relations and Mass Communications, Turan University);
  • Diverse Forms of Student Knowledge Assessment (led by R.Abilova – Senior Lecturer at the Higher School of International Relations and Mass Communications, Turan University);
  • Digital Technologies in Marketing (conducted by A.Mukhamedkarimova – Marketing Expert for the EBRD Program, Executive Director of the Kazakhstan Marketing Association, and D. Gaitov – Team Lead Project Manager at Netpeak Kazakhstan, an internet marketing agency);
  • Application of AI Tools for Scientific Research (led by T.Soldatenko – PhD, Associate Professor at AlmaU, and Director of the consulting company B.MIND).

 

 

The courses were organized as part of the School of Pedagogical Excellence and included both theoretical sessions and practical assignments. Participants explored modern methods and applied their newly acquired knowledge to real-life cases.

 

The course on Artificial Intelligence (AI) sparked lively discussions among attendees, highlighting the relevance of integrating AI into the educational process. Faculty members emphasized the high potential of these technologies for enhancing student engagement and the overall effectiveness of learning.

 

Upon completing the training, all faculty members received certificates confirming their professional competencies.

 

We are confident that the new knowledge and skills of our teachers will help the university develop even faster and provide students with even better knowledge, skills, and abilities.
