Goals and Features of Qamqor Cup II:
The tournament aimed to enhance the social responsibility of the debate community and sought to benefit society through debates. Participants not only competed in intellectual discussions but also contributed to a good cause.
The main feature of Qamqor Cup II was that it was not just a high-level debate platform but also an opportunity to discuss pressing social issues and make a real impact on their resolution. The key topics of the tournament focused on social justice, inclusivity, and the role of youth in society.
Participants and Tournament Format:
The tournament was held at a national level, bringing together the strongest debaters from across the country. The debates were conducted in American Parliamentary Debate and Lincoln-Douglas formats, allowing participants to develop multifaceted thinking skills by trying different roles.
Among the participants were members of Kazakhstan’s top debate clubs, national champions, and promising newcomers gaining experience. The judging panel was carefully selected, featuring the best judges of national tournaments. The tournament welcomed not only university students but also high school students.
Winners and top speakers were awarded special prizes and diplomas.
Qamqor Cup II has proven that debates are not just an intellectual game but also a powerful tool capable of inspiring charity and positive social change. This tournament has elevated the debate movement in Kazakhstan to a new level, demonstrating that it can be not only a means of developing knowledge and skills but also a real force for improving society.
