“Turan Model of United Nations 2025” International Conference
«Turan» University, the Higher School of International Relations and Diplomacy held the traditional XIV International Conference «Turan Model United Nations 2025» («TURAN MUN 2025»), dedicated to the discussion of current issues of world politics, which is closest in form to the meetings of the UN committees.

The international conference «Model UN» was attended by 240 delegates-students of schools, colleges and universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan and far abroad.
During the Opening of «TURAN MODEL UNITED NATIONS 2025», the Youth Affairs Committee presented a concert program on the theme of war and peace, in which students of Turan University performed thematic musical numbers. Experienced «modelers»-students shared their experience of participating in the game «Model UN» from the stage and the opening of the event ended with the «Oath of Delegates» in three languages.
The international conference was accompanied by the support of our esteemed sponsors – LLP «SkiHill» and IP «ShetelAs», whose assistance became an integral part of its successful organization.
Model UN is a simulation of the activities of the United Nations, during which students, in the role of delegates, reproduce the activities of various UN committees, acquire diplomatic, leadership, public speaking, language skills and the ability to come to a compromise. Model UN helps to realize the importance of their future and feel part of the world community – a necessary, unique, inimitable component of it. Participants can expect to get acquainted with student life, new impressions and a unique experience!
The working languages of the conference are Kazakh, Russian and English.
CONFERENCE PROGRAM
The conference program includes work in three committees:
- General Assembly (GA)
- Security Council (SC)
- WHO (WHO, World Health Organization)
An offline format is provided for all participants.
The format of the conference is a debate on the activities of the UN, which involves participation in the process of modeling a problematic political situation and developing the ability to resolve it using democratic methods. Delegates defend the position of the country represented at the conference, and not their own opinion.
The goal for each committee is to find consensus and adopt a resolution on the issue under discussion.
