Students of the Educational Program “Information Systems” in the Final of the International Scientific Competition Black Sea Science 2025

On April 24-25, 2025, 3rd year students of the educational program «Information Systems» took part in the final of the International Student Research Competition Black Sea Science 2025.

The Black Sea Science competition was held for the 8th time at the Odessa National Technological University under the auspices of the Network of Black Sea Universities and the ISEKI-Food Association. The aim of the competition is to expand international relations and attract students to cooperate in the field of scientific research.

In 2025, 353 works were submitted to the 1st stage of the competition in 6 areas, including from universities in India, Spain, Germany, Austria, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Algeria, Poland, Bulgaria, Moldova, and Kazakhstan. 78 papers were reviewed in the field of Information Technology, Automation and Robotics.

The jury of the competition included 142 experts, including 85 from 23 foreign countries: Great Britain, Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, USA, Argentina, Turkey, Oman, Benin, China, Latvia, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Poland, Bulgaria, Moldova, Romania.

Two works in the field of Information Technology, Automation and robotics were submitted to the competition from Turan University. The work on the topic “DEVELOPMENT OF A CHATBOT FOR AUTOMATED STUDENT REQUEST PROCESSING USING NLP TECHNOLOGIES”, authored by 3rd–year students of the Educational Institution 6B06101 –Information Systems Idrissova Rufina, Shmarin Timofey and Savgira Andrey, passed the 2nd stage – the final of the competition.

The final was held in an online format, where students presented their work in English and received a diploma of the II degree.

The team leader is Kim Yekaterina Romanovna, Cand.tech.sc., associate professor at the Higher School of Information Technology.
