International Forum “Kazakhstan-Azerbaijan” dedicated to the 102nd anniversary of the birth of the National Leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev

The Director of the Higher School of International Relations and Diplomacy of the “Turan” University  A.T. Mukhambedyarova took part in the International Forum “Kazakhstan-Azerbaijan”.

The forum was organized jointly with the “Gyzylbash” Public association for Youth education, the UNESCO Representative Office in Kazakhstan, the World Association of Ahiska turks (DATÜB), the People’s diplomacy Foundation “İpəkyolu” and the Community of Western Azerbaijan with the support of the Agency for state support to non-governmental organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The forum was attended by the representative of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Almaty Anar Huseynzade, Consul General of Turkey in Almaty Evren Müderrisoglu, Director of the International Center for the Rapprochement of Cultures under the auspices of UNESCO, famous writer Olzhas Suleimenov (video message), People’s Poet of Azerbaijan Sabir Rustamkhanli, Member of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan Nagif Hamza, Honored scientist of Kazakhstan, professor Yerbolat Aliyadinuly, member of the Board of the Press Council of Azerbaijan, Head of the Yeni Çağ Media Group Agil Alesker, Deputy Director of the International Center for the Rapprochement of Cultures under the auspices of UNESCO Saltanat Ashimova, Chairman of the Organization of public diplomacy “İpəkyolu” Seyfulla Türksoy, PhD in history Igor Krupko, famous scientists and political figures of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan. During the panel discussion, the activities of the Organization of Turkic States and the possibilities of cooperation between the Turkic republics were discussed.

At the International Forum, Turan University was awarded ‘the SPECIAL RECOGNITION AWARD’. Turan University is actively expanding cooperation with higher education institutions of Azerbaijan. It is possible to recall that on March 4-5, 2025, a round table on “Expanding cooperation between higher education institutions of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan” was held in Baku and an exhibition “Study in Kazakhstan” was organized with the participation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan S. Nurbek, the Minister of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan E. Amrullaev, the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan A. Baiel, rectors and representatives of Kazakh and Azerbaijani universities. Turan University was represented by G.Zh. Tayauova, vice-rector for external relations and doctoral studies, associate professor, and D.K. Nurtayeva, Director of the marketing and admissions department. Turan University signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with Azerbaijan University of Tourism and Management, Lankaran State University and Sumgait State University.
