PhD students’ internship at UAE University

From April 7 to May 6, 2025, Turan University’s doctoral students Lyan Zhanat and Yalkunov Makhamyatali completed a foreign research internship at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU), located in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, UAE. It is the oldest public university in the country (founded in 1976), included in the Top 300 best universities in the world according to the QS World University Rankings (ranked 261) and in the Top 10 universities in the Arab region.

The internship was supervised by Dr. Tatyana Karabchuk, Associate Professor of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS). The College deals with empirical social research, gender issues, labor market studies, as well as methodological training of master’s and doctoral students. During the internship, doctoral students had the opportunity to receive advice from their supervisor on the topic of their research, practical skills in conducting Scoping Review, and were provided access to electronic libraries and university databases. Doctoral students took an active part in various international scientific events. Upon completion of the internship, doctoral students defended their research projects and received certificates of completion of the scientific internship.
