Turan University, together with UNFPA in Kazakhstan, the UN Department of Global Communications, Almaty University of Management, and Narxoz University, organized a meeting with the UN Assistant Secretary-General for Youth, Dr. Felipe Paullier, on May 26, 2025.
This unique event was part of the implementation of the UN Youth2030 global agenda and the Pact for the Future adopted at the Future Summit in 2024. It brought together more than 200 young leaders, students, diplomats, media representatives, and international organizations.
Dr. Felipe Paullier is a Uruguayan physician, statesman, and international expert in youth policy. In 2023, he became the first and youngest Assistant Secretary-General in UN history, heading the direction of youth affairs. His appointment became a symbol of real recognition of the role of youth in global politics and governance. In his role at the UN, he coordinates the implementation of the Youth2030 strategy, promotes the inclusion of youth in decision-making processes, the promotion of human rights, and the participation of young people in sustainable development, peace and security.
