Meeting of the regional round table of the Peacekeeping Operations Center in Almaty

The regional round table meeting is continuing at the Peacekeeping Operations Center in Almaty, attended by delegations from Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, the Republic of Korea, as well as representatives of the UN, OSCE and the International Red Cross. The central theme is the development of regional potential in training peacekeeping units, exchange of experience and development of joint approaches to training. Peacekeeping activities of the Republic of Kazakhstan are not just a reflection of the defense strategy, but also the embodiment of foreign policy principles of peace, responsibility and constructive participation. Our country demonstrates that even in a difficult international situation it can have a significant impact on global security – subject to systematic work, political will and a high level of training.

We are proud that Kazakhstan has become the only CIS country that has received an independent UN mandate to carry out a peacekeeping mission.

The meeting was attended by a representative of the “Turan” University, Director of the Higher School “International Relations and Diplomacy” Professor Mukhambedyarova A.T.
