The staff of the Center for Regional Studies participated in the meeting of the editorial board of the History of Kazakhstan from Ancient Times to the Present Day

The staff of the Center for Regional Studies at the Higher School of International Relations and Diplomacy of Turan University, Professor Kamalov Ablet Kayumovich and Professor Torlanbayeva Kenzhe Uskenbaevna participated in the meeting of the Editorial Board of the seven-volume “History of Kazakhstan from Ancient Times to the present Day”, held on September 12, 2025 at the House of Friendship in Almaty.

 

There were two issues on the agenda of the meeting: approval for publication of the 2nd volume of the book devoted to the ancient Turkic period of the history of Kazakhstan, and discussion of the contents of the 3rd volume covering the history of the Golden Horde. Bulat Yeshmukhamedovich Kumekov, academician of the National Academy of Kazakhstan, and Aibolat Kairlyamovich Kushkumbaev, Professor of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, made presentations on these issues.

 

The meeting of the Editorial Board was chaired by Yerlan Tynymbaevich Karin, State Adviser of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The meeting was attended by Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurbek Sayasat and Deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aidos Syrym.

 

The members of the Editorial Board unanimously approved for publication the text of the second volume of the History of Kazakhstan (under the general editorship of Academician B.E. Kumekov). The team of authors of the 2nd volume of the History of Kazakhstan from Ancient Times to the present day includes employees of the Center for Regional Studies of Turan University A.K. Kamalov and K.U.Torlanbayeva, who They are also members of the Editorial Board of this volume.
