Representatives of the Turan University Graduate School of Law took part in the First National Congress on Women’s Political Leadership and Gender Equality

As part of the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 16 — “Peace, justice and effective institutions”, on October 6-7, 2025, Astana hosted the First National Congress on Women’s Political Leadership and Gender Equality “Strategies. Partnership. Leadership.”

 

The event brought together members of Parliament and maslikhats, representatives of government agencies, international organizations, diplomatic missions, as well as leading experts and public figures.

 

The Higher School of Law of Turan University was represented at the congress by the director of the Higher School of Law, K.A. Dzhumabayeva, and assistant lecturers, T.K. Amirov. and Dyusebaev Zh.S. Dyusebaev Zh.S. acted as a speaker at the panel discussion “Women and Digital Leadership”, where he highlighted the issues of women’s digital participation in politics, as well as the problems of online violence, cyber discrimination and cybersecurity.

 

Amirov T.K. joined the working group on the preparation of the final resolution of the congress, which summarized the key proposals of the participants and developed recommendations to strengthen the role of women in the political and public life of Kazakhstan.

 

Director of the Higher School of Law K.A. Dzhumabayeva. She noted that the participation of representatives of Turan University in such a large-scale event reflects the high level of involvement of the university in discussing modern legal, social and gender issues, and also confirms the university’s willingness to contribute to the development of public dialogue and leadership initiatives.
