A graduate of Turan University, Adlet Kozhanbayev, has been appointed as the Akim (Mayor) of the city of Semey.
Adlet Kozhanbayev was born on January 1, 1980, in the village of Bigash, Kokpekti district, formerly part of the Semipalatinsk region. He graduated from Turan University with degrees in “Accounting and Auditing” (2005) and “Law” (2012).
In 2021, Adlet Kozhanbayev completed a Master of Business Administration for Executives (MBA) at the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration.
His career path includes significant experience in the banking and telecommunications sectors, as well as impactful work in the financial administration of the Abai Region. Since August 2024, he has served as the Akim of the Kokpekti district in the Abai Region.
