Foreign Professor Roland Giese from Germany conducted classes in the doctoral programmes

From September 29 to October 10, 2025, Roland Giese, Doctor of Economics, Professor at the University of Applied Sciences Zittau-Görlitz (Germany), conducted the “Foreign Management Experience” course for PhD students.

Roland Giese is an Emeritus professor, a member of the Board of Trustees of Turan University, and a visiting professor who has lectured annually for our doctoral students for 20 years. The long-standing collaboration between Zittau-Görlitz University of Applied Sciences and Turan University is reflected in the international academic mobility of students and faculty.

“Foreign Management Experience” is a course authored by Professor R. Giese. During the course, Professor Giese shared the specifics of strategic management practices in Western companies. The course was held in a modular format. In the 2025-2026 academic year, doctoral students from the programs “Economics,” “Management,” “Finance,” and “Marketing” participated in the course.
