On October 22, 2025, a methodological seminar was held within the framework of the grant funding program of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2025–2027, dedicated to the project AP26198511 “The Integrative Potential of the Creative Industries in Central Asia: Developing an Assessment Methodology and Implementation Mechanisms.” The event was conducted online.
The purpose of the seminar was to ensure a shared understanding of the project concept and to develop common methodological approaches to its implementation among the members of the research team.
Key researchers of the project delivered presentations:
- Sci. (Econ.), Research Professor of the Higher School of Economics and Management G. Khajiyeva, Project Leader – presented the overall logic of the research, highlighting the interconnection between the project’s goals, stages, and methodological principles, as well as the structure of collaboration among its components.
- Sc. (Econ.), Professor of the Higher School of Economics and Management S. Sansyzbayev – outlined the conceptual framework of the project, defining the theoretical foundations for analyzing the integrative potential of the creative industries.
- PhD, Associate Professor of the Higher School of Marketing and Logistics Zh. Dzhumadildayeva – presented methods of economic and marketing analysis of the current state of brands and creative sectors in Central Asia.
- A. Maratkizy, Director of Creative Kazakhstan Agency – shared practical experience in the management and development of creative industries, introducing the methodology of comprehensive quantitative and qualitative sociological research.
- PhD, Research Professor of the Higher School of Economics and Management D. Zakirova – presented methods for developing a model of educational integration aimed at enhancing human capital and academic cooperation in the creative industries of the region.
Following the discussion:
- a unified methodological framework for the project was developed, integrating theoretical, empirical, and applied research dimensions;
- the conceptual boundaries of the project were defined, highlighting the role of creative industries as a new integrative resource for Central Asia;
- the research tasks and methodological tools for each section were refined;
- a plan for the next stages of the project’s implementation was approved.
Thus, the seminar became an important milestone in the development of the project’s scientific concept and laid the foundation for further systematic work on designing the methodology and mechanisms for assessing and realizing the integrative potential of the creative industries in the Central Asian region.
