Almaty, October 28, 2025. The Higher School of Computer Engineering, the Higher School of Telecommunications, and the Higher School of Information Technologies jointly organized and held the “PROfessions of the Digital Age” Open Day, specially designed for Turan College students.
The event aimed to introduce young people to modern and rapidly developing educational programs and career opportunities in the field of information and communication technologies, serving as an important step in career guidance for future specialists.
The directors of the schools — Zh.A. Mukanova, B.O. Kulambayev, and S.T. Mambetov — presented the most in-demand IT majors. The focus was on such programs as Computer Engineering and Software, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Radio Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications, and Intelligent Robotics. Special emphasis was placed on the practical orientation of training and its close connection with industry, including such relevant areas as cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.
The Coordinator of the Admission Office, A.V. Tsvirenko, provided valuable information about the admission process and opportunities available to applicants. She explained in detail the admission rules for college graduates, the conditions for participating in the competition for educational grants, as well as the internal support and scholarship programs offered by Turan University.
A hands-on workshop on Arduino microcontroller programming was also organized for guests, conducted by senior students. During the session, college students had the opportunity to learn the basic principles of working with electronics and to create their first interactive devices.
The “PROfessions of the Digital Age” Open Day once again confirmed the strategic importance of IT specializations, highlighting the continuity of education within the Turan Educational Corporation and demonstrating the university’s commitment to preparing highly qualified professionals for Kazakhstan’s digital future.
