Teachers and students of the Turan Film Academy have produced a social film DROP

Teachers and students from the Turan Film Academy produced and presented the social film DROP, which focuses on participants in fraudulent schemes who use front persons (or “droppers”) to launder or transfer funds obtained through illegal means.

These droppers, often unaware of the illegal nature of their actions, unwittingly provide their bank accounts or credit cards to facilitate the transfer and laundering of stolen funds.

The premiere of the film took place on October 20th, as part of the Kazakhstan Prevention Days at the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The film was shot on the basis of the Turan University with the assistance of the Department for Combating Cybercrime of the Almaty City Police Department and the Almaty Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
