Guest Lecture “How an Idea Becomes a Release: Organizational Flow from ‘Request’ to Production” for Students of the “Information Systems” and “Intelligent Robotics” Educational Programs

On October 30, 2025, a guest lecture titled “How an Idea Becomes a Release: Organizational Flow from Request to Production” was held in room 710 for 3rd-year students of the “Information Systems” and “Intelligent Robotics” programs. The lecture was delivered by Sayan Bakirbayev, Technical Product Manager at the IT company BCCHUB. The speaker provided a detailed overview of how an idea evolves into a real product. Sayan explained that a successful release is not the result of individual heroism but a well-structured process with clearly defined roles, responsibilities, and stage gates. He demonstrated how to apply the RACI model for accountability distribution, discussed the key documents and artifacts required (one-pager, ADR, release checklist), and emphasized the importance of following the DoR and DoD readiness criteria. He also highlighted the principle of “minimum bureaucracy – maximum value,” the role of metrics, process transparency, and proper documentation of architectural decisions.

After the lecture, students asked questions about the practical implementation of these tools, as well as the methods and practices used by BCCHUB to manage releases and maintain a balance between speed and product quality.

The organizer of the lecture is Yekaterina Romanovna Kim, candidate of technical sciences, associate professor at the Higher school of Information Technology of Turan University.
